High 5 Casino Review: In-House Slots, Skrill Strings and a Long State List
High 5 Casino builds its own slots, which sets it apart from sweepstakes sites that license everything. We read the redemption page and found a Skrill purchase rule, ID checks and several excluded states.
Our verdict
High 5 Casino has a genuine edge in game content because its parent studio writes slots that rivals cannot offer. Redemptions work, but Skrill needs a past Skrill purchase, ID and address proof come first, and several states are blocked. A decent free-play site, not a fast cash-out one.
Best for: Slot fans who want studio-made games and can accept slower prize checks
- Price
- Free to play; optional Gold Coin packages
What we liked
- Parent studio makes its own slots, so some titles are exclusive
- Free Sweeps Coins arrive through daily bonuses and drops
- Gift card redemptions are delivered by email, often within hours
- Redemption page publishes minimums and caps in plain numbers
What held it back
- Skrill redemptions need a previous Skrill coin purchase
- Government ID and proof of address are required before a first prize
- Redemptions blocked in WA, ID, NV, MI and a few more states
Most sweepstakes casinos are shop windows for other people's slots. High 5 Casino is different, because its maker, High 5 Games, is a slot studio first and a social casino second. That is the argument for signing up. The argument against is on the redemption page, and we read it carefully.
A note on method: our first look at the High 5 home page redirected us to the English classic site, and we read the help centre in place of a logged-in cashier. Numbers below are the ones High 5 publishes, or an outside reviewer's figure labelled as such.
What the studio angle gets you
Gambling.com lists more than 1,700 games with in-house exclusives, which we could not count ourselves from the public pages. The pitch is simple: a site that licenses its slots from the same suppliers as everyone else cannot offer you a title no other site has. A site that owns a studio can. If you already know you like a particular High 5 Games slot, you will find it here before you find it elsewhere.
The sweepstakes layer sits on top. High 5 describes Sweeps Coins as always free to claim and says they cannot be purchased directly. You collect them through the daily bonus, the referral bonus and Bonus Drops. Game Coins and Diamonds arrive every four hours in the Sweeps Play lobby.
