How we review

Every site is opened, funded, played and cashed out by the test desk before we score it. This is what we check and how the score is built.

Licence first

Before we deposit, we look the operator up on the regulator's own public register: the state gaming commission for US casinos, the UK Gambling Commission for UK sites, and the issuing authority for offshore licences. A licence number shown in a site's footer is not enough; it has to match a live entry under the same company name.

You can do the same check in a couple of minutes. Find the licence number and company name at the bottom of the site, open the regulator's register in a new tab, and search for either one. If nothing matches, or the entry is suspended, do not deposit.

Real deposits, real play

We sign up as ordinary customers, pass the identity checks, and deposit or buy coins with our own cards and wallets. We play the games a typical reader would: slots, live dealer tables, poker tournaments or bingo rooms, depending on the site. We note how easy it is to set limits, how support answers, and whether the app or site breaks on a phone.

Bonus terms, read in full

A bonus is only as good as its terms. We read the full promotional terms, not the banner, and write down the wagering requirement, game weighting, maximum bet, expiry and any cap on winnings. If a rule that matters is buried, the review says so near the top.

Timed withdrawals

We request at least one withdrawal or prize redemption and time it from the request to the money arriving. Where a site asks for extra documents or reverses a withdrawal, that goes in the review too.

How the score works

The score is out of 10, to one decimal place. It weighs licence and safety, bonus fairness, payout speed, the game or room selection, and support. A site with a weak licence or a withdrawal problem cannot score well, however good its games are. Scores are reviewed when a site changes its terms, and every change to a published review is noted on the page.

Responsible play

Gambling is entertainment that costs money. Decide what you can afford to lose before you start, set a deposit limit in your account, and never chase losses. Every licensed site lets you set limits, take a break or exclude yourself.
