FanDuel Casino Review: A Clean App With a Smaller Library
FanDuel Casino is a standalone real-money app in five US states. It is easy to use and has a low wagering rule, but offer details differ from site to site and rivals carry more games. We weighed it for non-sportsbook players.
Our verdict
FanDuel Casino is easy to live with: a clean standalone app, an 800+ slot library, a 1x wagering rule on bonus credits and mostly same-day to three-day withdrawals. It trails BetMGM and DraftKings on game count and is live in only five states. Welcome offers are quoted differently by every reviewer, so read the in-app terms first.
Best for: US players in regulated states who want a simple casino app
- Price
- Free to join
What we liked
- Standalone casino app with a clean, easy-to-navigate design
- 800+ slots plus blackjack, roulette, live dealer and game shows (per DeucesCracked)
- Bonus credits carry a 1x wagering requirement according to one review
- Pay with Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Venmo or bank transfer; $10 minimum deposit
What held it back
- Only five states: Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey, West Virginia and Connecticut
- Smaller game library than BetMGM or DraftKings
- Welcome offers are described inconsistently (200, 500 or 1,500 spins) across sources
Most people hear FanDuel and think of a sportsbook. The casino sits in its own app, launched as a standalone product in Pennsylvania in 2020 according to SBC Americas, and the useful question is whether it stands up when you never place a bet on a game. Our answer is yes, with limits: it is easy to use, but it gives you less to play than the two biggest rivals and it only works in five states.
Our access to FanDuel's own site was blocked (HTTP 403 on our requests), so we worked from the App Store listing and from reviews we could open. Everything below says where it comes from.
A casino app that stays out of the way
The App Store listing calls it "FanDuel Casino - Real Money", subtitled "Slots, Blackjack & Roulette", age rated 18+. It is a 189.4 MB download needing iOS 15.0 or later, sold by FanDuel Limited.
The store page carries a preview video and screenshots, so you can judge the layout before you download. We rely on the reviewer's description of the design here and did not stress-test the app ourselves.
DeucesCracked's reviewer praises the clean, intuitive layout and the strong link to the sportsbook and daily fantasy products, so a single account covers all three. If you do bet on sport, that is convenient. If you do not, it is neutral: you are not forced into anything sports-related.
FanDuel also lists a combined Sportsbook and Casino app. Casino-only players should choose the dedicated one.
The library: big, but not the biggest
DeucesCracked counts more than 800 slots, plus blackjack, roulette, live dealer tables and game shows. It also calls the library smaller than BetMGM's or DraftKings' and notes fewer live dealer tables off-peak. We agree with the trade: an 800-slot catalogue is plenty for a week of play, and the real gap shows only if you chase a particular title.
